Is there any way back for the sport?

MMA seems to have taken over from boxing, certainly in the States anyway. It hasn’t been helped by way too many divisions in boxing but is there any way back for the sport?

RE : Is there any way back for the sport?

I would haves said yes to this question, until I saw the latest Pacquiao fight. It has been flatlining for the last ten years, but every so often, boxing throws up a classic dust-up to reinvigorate my faith. In order to be a vital sport again, all the alphabet boys need to be put out of business, back to the original nine (?) weight divisions, and a maximum of two licensing bodies. Until then it will slip further and further into obscurity, with only the odd fantastic ruckus to remind us of the glory days.

RE : Is there any way back for the sport?

A certain sports can never be dead if there is still a player standing and fighting. I do believe that every player loves the sports he's been playing just like Pacquiao. I wonder how he managed to stay on top despite the fact that those who fought him in the ring are all good boxers. Maybe he really has something which the other boxers don't have, the eagerness to sustain not only his own

in the field of boxing but even the will to sustain the boxing sports itself.:p
