France coach Laurent Blanc admits midfield is an area of concern as he prepares to release his preliminary squad for next month's European Championship in Poland and Ukraine.

Blanc has overseen a revitalisation of the France squad since taking over from Raymond Domenech after Les Bleus had endured a woeful 2010 World Cup which saw them depart miserably at the group stage.

The former France defender has put together a new-look squad which topped their Euro 2012 qualification group and have been impressive.

However, the likes of Morgan Amalfitano, Yohan Cabaye and Yann M'Vila have little real experience - something Blanc admits could be a problem.

He told L'Equipe: "I almost have my list of 23. My final hesitation concerns a long-term problem - the midfield is suffering from a lack of leadership and a lack of players with international experience.

"There are players who have the potential to be in the France team - but players who have proven they can really be a part of it, there are very few."
